Re: Communal ranking by ==Doylum 23-Aug-02/8:59 PM
pssst! i don't think tchur's going to rub the nub, D. she wasn't even blessed with a sybillic rant; she only recieved a 2-lined blessing. axle greas ounds lovely for starters, but what's for afters? (assuming the starfish flambee to be the entree, bien sur)
Re: Communal ranking by ==Doylum 23-Aug-02/9:07 PM
well, not greedee per se, more like i-lika-littull-sumthin'-sweet after my salt. know what i mean, luv?
Re: Communal ranking by ==Doylum 23-Aug-02/9:08 PM
something small, you know, like a petit-on-all-4s?
Re: Losing A Friend by venusdemilo 23-Aug-02/9:18 PM

Re: Losing A Friend by venusdemilo 23-Aug-02/9:24 PM

Re: Losing A Friend by venusdemilo 23-Aug-02/9:34 PM
see p&k, yoa ARE fired up. did someone bruise you plums tonight? actually, there's an inn here in jolly olde CT that serves prune ice cream--a recipe from the 1700's. yum yum. another glass of wine, sirrahs?
Re: Losing A Friend by venusdemilo 23-Aug-02/9:45 PM
weak doth reak, and fowl is fare... (sorry, too much JRR this weak)
a vessel's worth is in its capacity, its void, D.
Re: Choking by SoulSlippedAway 23-Aug-02/9:51 PM
we're not mean, we're just drawn that way. but seriously, what were you trying to say? that she's depressed? does her self pity overpower her so that she has not the strength to end it? i'm not saying that every protagonist has to be a hero, or even an anti-hero, but i'd like them tto do something other than dress goth and moan about how awful it all is. wooden shoe?
Re: Crying Beside a Lake by x311 23-Aug-02/9:54 PM
that will be 'in the ice cream', trussed up nicely with some steamy-hot chocolate sauce. oh dear, who's being greedy now? i like my petits vanilla, thank you very much. although cheese and port never seems to fail, either.
Re: Crying Beside a Lake by x311 23-Aug-02/9:57 PM
now here you were, crying about your bruised plums, and i offer the parable of the laid-by plum, sage with age, and you start whining about vessels? more wine! sommelier, another bottle of your finest!
Re: Z. by ErgoErgun 23-Aug-02/10:20 PM
i do not think this is an ode to me; must be some other Z. Some other Z who finds him a bit too...raw. not that there aren't some lovely raws to be had, it's just that this style of it is not one of them. so, what i'm trying to say is that I LIKE THIS POEM. (i also like prune ice cream. there. my Hubris. destroy me with it.)
Re: Z. by ErgoErgun 23-Aug-02/10:25 PM
unstained, EE. inside out. yes.

good evening, mrs. g. on't mind D, he's all a-titter over talk of vessels rife with whine and prune ice cream. besides, i think he's signed off for the night.
Re: Z. by ErgoErgun 23-Aug-02/10:40 PM
i don't think i ripped any poetry yet, tonight anyway. i've been shining up my karma, and practicising my Frassian--keeping that asp of a tongue in my mouth when i'm bent. i 'm trying to put a little something balladic together, seeing as how the olden times are back with an elven-smite vengence. what's your excuse
Re: Three Daughters by <~> 24-Aug-02/4:47 PM
-=Dark_Angel=- --so, is this 'poemranker', or 'ranker rancor'?
no criticism on the poem? do your worst, sirrah. there are few spots i'm thinking of modifying it, and would like your opinion of the weak points. many thanks.
Re: Three Daughters by <~> 24-Aug-02/4:50 PM
h-verklempt is good. re: TP--i'm a little jealous. have fun. frass: yes... mrs. god--i would be honored. just keep your neck away from the guillitine while reciting it...
Re: Three Daughters by <~> 24-Aug-02/5:16 PM
thank you. i did ask sincerely, and i tend to be unconstrained, mostly. i must sit with it more; there is something missing for me. i think you are right about 'what is going on'; i had an idea full formed when i wrote it, but i'm sure i didn't convey all the points i meant to. and now, back to our regularly scheduled programming....

dense. dense. dense. wanna borrow my hammer drill? maybe then you could get through.
Re: Our lord and saviour, the land of 60 million micks, as wonderful and noble as the pink empire. by ==Doylum 25-Aug-02/9:01 PM
ah, D. what can i say? the sentiment is genuine, and I can't help but join you in hoping my country gets a much-needed blessing or two. this little ditty, however, shows little craft. p&k seems to think you might be baiting me, calling this diatribe a limerick. while there is a cetain element of humor present, it doesn't please like a limerick is liable to. save your rants for the comment box. give us more HIGH ART when you submit a poem. when i read this, i feel so...unsatisfied.
