Russian Space Station (Lyric) by wilco
Little white dot in the sky tonight. A Russian space station on a never ending flight. Floating like a hummingbird, flashing like a sign with big, bold letters and an unpronouncable word. Big star shining like a fleeting kiss. It never mattered much if I never had to miss You on a balance beam and taking up the space between the black. Cold gray skies are the colorful wives. A dress made of comets full of never ending lives. Throwing out the metal scrap, send it into space with a big blue banner and a Welcome-Home sign. Color changing waves in the granite. Milky way clinging to a picture of a planet snapping photographs and never even has to use the flash.

Up the ladder: Dressing up
Down the ladder: The man of steel

I had trouble making the connection between the space station and the balance beam, colorful wives, and never ending lives.
