Horses (Ghazal) by ggawrysi
1. Its muscled body glistening with sweat The cool ocean mist makes its body wet. 2. A mare whinnies, she's frantically worried Her pony is gone, she searches hurried. 3. Spurring his horse, the cowboy speeds along His ride is his pride and the mustang strides long. 4. Have you ever heard of a Lippizaner Stallion Born black, turns white, rode the Spanish galleon?

Good, but why the numbers? Makes it look too corporate.

I guess that I did it to show separation of the two line poems for those who do not know what a ghazal is.

Kinda reminds me (with the numbers) of the old Houghton-Mifflin anthologies from high school.

That's not a ghazal.

Yes it is; a ghazal is a Middle Eastern format for poetry, sometimes associated with the Moors, that exists as a series of two line poems.

Sorry; it's more commonly associated with Iran (then Persia), but several historians give the nod to the Moors.
