The True Irony (Free verse) by thepinkbunnyofdoom
Written by Jason ~ James
Subconsciously I lay conscious
Thinking of This
Unaware of my being
Drifting from myself
Yet fully aware of my pain
Chaining me to my misery
How can this be?
Such Irony
I drift away
This Suffering
Lying perfectly still
Buried in Memories Burned
Hurting of a love that never existed
So why do I miss it
Praying for a happiness that can never be
Dreaming
Then I wake up
To Watch the Shattering
Some time later
Beneath the Silence
Screaming of a burning sun
There is this Hunger
Deafening my already burst ears
Forcing me to swallow
These fears are merely doubts
Doubts I can't put down
Closing my eyes Wide Shut
To see Beyond this Point
With my mouth Wide Open
Trying to Scream
No Sound arises
Curtains Close Lights Fade
And I wake from this dream
