Style / Ffordd (Free verse) by Nicholas Jones
Samuel Beckett said writing in French
enabled him to write without style.
Well, I donât know much French,
so I have to use a different second language
to test his theory:
Dwedodd Samuel Beckett, ysgrifennu yn Ffrangeg
roedd eân gallu ysgrifennu heb dull.
Wel, sa iân gwybod llawer o Ffrangeg,
fel mae rhaid i fi ddefnyddio ail iaith gwahanol
i brawf ei ddamcaniaeth e.
You see, there isnât much style there:
Much less than âEn Attendant Godotâ
âChweld, does dim llawer o ddull fan hyn:
Llai iawn na âAros am Godotâ
