Style / Ffordd (Free verse) by Nicholas Jones

Samuel Beckett said writing in French enabled him to write without style. Well, I don’t know much French, so I have to use a different second language to test his theory: Dwedodd Samuel Beckett, ysgrifennu yn Ffrangeg roedd e’n gallu ysgrifennu heb dull. Wel, sa i’n gwybod llawer o Ffrangeg, fel mae rhaid i fi ddefnyddio ail iaith gwahanol i brawf ei ddamcaniaeth e. You see, there isn’t much style there: Much less than ‘En Attendant Godot’ ‘Chweld, does dim llawer o ddull fan hyn: Llai iawn na ‘Aros am Godot’

That is fantastic. Do you know any other languages? Chinese would be fun.

I wonder if the different languages affect the meaning of the poem. Now there's something to contemplate.
