Nothing that you can own is finer than a
sturdy lacy doily.
There!
Any clean armchair, now fit for Victoria herself!
The home where your
armchair sits becomes thus a rich castle.

But some people would
rather steal or curse
or do street drugs
Than craft themselves a
simple doily!

just barely misses perfect
weeeeeeeeeeird. you get points just on weirdness factor. I don't like the utter lack of rhythm, the disjointedness, ... but it hits a spot in me, somewhere, as delightfully weird.

A fine sentiment expressed in the most honest fashion. I think it may be improved by changing "or do street drugs" to "or get wacked out on spaz biscuits".
