Steal my heart (Free verse) by baby_d
It was love a first sight. And try as I might, I could'nt find a way to get you off my mind. You've stolen my heart, and given me a new start. I just want you to know that as far as our love grows please treat my heart with care. Be fair, don't break my heart by wanting to be apart. Because I'm in love with You and I feel everything You do. You've stolen my heart so please be smart.

Up the ladder: A Message from my Dreams
Down the ladder: A Kiss

Congratulations, you've managed to use "love" three times and "heart" four times in three verses. Without a doubt this is the most beautiful and meaningful poem ever written. Oh yeah, and you used "heart/apart".

Do you ever wake up and suddenly think, "Oh no, I'm mindblowingly stupid"?

It does sound kinda pimple. Try to expand your mind when writing about love, it's too easy to sound cliche(At least that's what they say)
