Luster (Free verse) by dragonfly
etched deep in the ocean of my mind like a lusterless photograph is the memory I have of you striking me across the face with your brass-knuckled fist. For years it was submerged in its watery grave, but now it's been disturbed, and the grave has been unearthed. I can taste the blood again.

Up the ladder: Shadow's Overcast
Down the ladder: The daisy-chain girl
