Shadow's Overcast (Free verse) by Luzr
I fear the rising of the dawn And the waking of the life that I talk to others about When its in moments like these, when I'm alone And nothing in the world can reach me that I feel alive No burdens, No worries, No stress, No pressure Just calm cool relaxation and cigarette prest to my lips Pleasurous burning of breath Hiding in the shadows At ease without the slightest hint of pressure pushing down on me Nothing to fear for hours to come But as soon as the sun rises I'll feel that tension rise back into my shoulders My eyes will lose their mystery Instead they'd be blood shot, bleeding til they are dead My voice will once again be another bravado My tongue razor tipped but going dull Gone are the sweet midnight harmonies Gone til the day is done

Up the ladder: Hit & Run
Down the ladder: Luster
