education (Free verse) by richa
she had set out to the highlands, a sun hour north pitching her shack with a honed precision taut as her purpose, to pick from the skins of bark and weasel her supper and learn a little about the cold and a hunger, well she learnt all the relevant dates have since been filled in

Wonderfully versed and the 3rd line is sheer perfection.

Superb, compressed, poignant.

As usual, your images and language are striking and original, but this seems ambiguous to me. I don't get the ending.

usually I have a story in mind keeping it invisible and building up images around it.

This one is about a girl who had left home. With little preparation she set out for the highlands. She was found dead with a note asking for food if anyone found her.

The relevant dates bit refers to how following her death the inquest attempted to fill in the details of what little we know of her
