The Zen of the Pen (Free verse) by DreamerSupreme
- Demented mystic with only a thong as garment sings the song of a freshly dreamed tune before a fire. His descant preaching of the holy pen and its magical power (equivalent to the wisdom of zen) lured a young poet with its sound. The poet unseasoned asked the sage how he might master the pen. The mystic chuckled and spoke this: "What good is a pen, if one knows not how to write?"

Up the ladder: Death on my arm
Down the ladder: The Path Untrodden

"What good is a pen, if one knows not how to write?"

I've used pens for a lot of things other than writing.
Whistles to weapons the possiblities never end.
