Attention! - To the Wondering Soul (Free verse) by darkhelmet10
The following is a brief message. Think before you act, Do your best at everything you do. Consider how others will react. For, I know the truth. Relax, breathe, things aren't so bad. We're all doing what we think we can, We're all confused, We're all human. For, I know the truth. There is no evil in this world, There are simply inner fires. There is simply greed, There are simply desires. For, I know the truth. We're all the same, We're all completly different. I speak out to you, my generation, Think before you act. For, I know the truth.

I disagree. This world is full of evil, the day you are born you are inclined to do the wrong thing. But thats only true if you believe in absolutes. So many people these days see only grey, they dont believe in right and wrong, and the truth is the more time goes by the more that dark creeps up on us soon the so-called grey will be blackened and well be asking what went wrong. This is why our troops are over there right now, to put an end to evil. While some may say that the motivation is solely greed I disagree(look at my comment on the poem W.A.R.) While none are perfect, the difference is the will to be perfect which seperates us from the rest of the world, we as a nation were born upon the principles and morals of Christianity. And as time goes by we reject it and shove it as far back as possible claiming to be our own Gods, claiming to know all that is important. If we continue to shun wisdom in this country it will be us burning our books in the streets.

About my comment on their being no evil, i was basing that on what Confucious's ideas were. The only question is who is evil and who is good. The Iraqi's and/or terrorists themselves dont think of themselves as evil, they think of themselves as the good guys, but whoever wins will end up being the "good guys", thats just how history works. So yes, there is evil, but it depends on the point of view you're at

No, it doesn?t depend on how you view it. No matter how you look at it, it is still evil, even if you yourself think it to be right, if you think that killing people is acceptable then you are wrong. The problem with people today is that they think that everyone is right, no matter what. Its because they themselves are doing what they know to be wrong and do not want anyone condemning them, so they say that absolutes are what you make them, you are your own God. Its an old scheme that has been going on for generations, the plan is this, you say something long enough eventually people will believe it. That?s how homosexuality is where it is today, because people didn?t want confrontations and eventually a new generation is born and all they hear about is how homosexuality is acceptable and anyone who thinks differently is a bigot. Soon as the next generation arises they will begin to doubt their own country, they'll say that we are the evil in this war, the iraqis were just minding their own buisness and then BAM here comes America with thier big guns their banners of freedom and wealth. I cant help thinking that this country is slowly dying and the masses don?t give a damn, they are content to live their lives and stay out of other peoples business, what happens when the law is determined by your beliefs, there is a word for that its called ANARCHY!!

hey bp217,

i'd like some clarification on several of your comments, please.

<No, it doesn?t depend on how you view it. No matter how you look at it, it is still evil, >

what is ?it?, exactly?

<even if you yourself think it to be right, if you think that killing people is acceptable then you are wrong. >

so, it?s okay for us to do it, but not for them?

<The problem with people today is that they think that everyone is right, no matter what.>

which people would those be?

<? the plan is this, you say something long enough eventually people will believe it. That?s how homosexuality is where it is today, because people didn?t want confrontations and eventually a new generation is born and all they hear about is how homosexuality is acceptable and anyone who thinks differently is a bigot.>

um, sorry, but there is NOTHING wrong with homosexuality. it happens in nature all the time. you know, in god?s creations? so are you telling me that god is wrong then?

<Soon as the next generation arises they will begin to doubt their own country, they'll say that we are the evil in this war,>

hey, man, the next generation, and the last generation?we?re all here, and millions of us do think it?s wrong, and some of us even freeze our asses off at peace marches, and write letters, and phone congressmen, and boycott foreign oil,--you know, all the thing you can do to protest when you live in a democracy, where people have equal rights, even if they do stick their dicks into asses or mouths instead of into vaginas?(by the way, oral sex is illegal in Pennsylvania, naughty boy)

<the iraqis were just minding their own buisness and then BAM here comes America with thier big guns their banners of freedom and wealth. I cant help thinking that this country is slowly dying and the masses don?t give a damn, they are content to live their lives and stay out of other peoples business, what happens when the law is determined by your beliefs, there is a word for that its called ANARCHY!!>

you start out one way, it seems, then go the other.
what is your point of view, friend?

Alright zz66 Ill break it down for you, first off, what you said about God making homos and it being alright is a lie, I don?t know who told you that or maybe you saw two male dogs humping each other and took a mental note, but your wrong. Even if there is homosexuality in nature it doesn?t matter. You see we humans have something animals do not, that is a soul. We also have comprehension of things like god and right and wrong, a dog knows its wrong to crap on the carpet only because he has been taught that if he does he will receive punishment. We as humans have a conscience and know instinctively what is wrong and right. Getting back to the point, Here is what the Bible has to say about homosexuality,

"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable" (Leviticus 18:22) and

"If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads" (Leviticus 20:13) and

In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion" (Romans 1:26-27).

I don?t know how anyone in their right minds who would, after reading these passages think that homosexuality is acceptable.

Getting on with the next point,

<No, it doesn?t depend on how you view it. No matter how you look at it, it is still evil, >

What I mean is, sin is still sin, no matter how YOU look at it. Killing the Iraqis is not a sin because they are the ones who attacked us first. They funded terrorists that killed 2000 of our citizens, it might as well been Saddam flying the plane. It is now our right to avenge our dead. God also says that it is our obligation to stop evil around the world. And that is exactly what we are doing.

<The Iraqis were just minding their own business and then BAM here comes America with their big guns their banners of freedom and wealth. I cant help thinking that this country is slowly dying and the masses don?t give a damn, they are content to live their lives and stay out of other peoples business, what happens when the law is determined by your beliefs, there is a word for that its called ANARCHY!!>

This last statement was what liberals like yourself all around America are saying, <the Iraqis were just minding their own business and then BAM here comes America with their big guns their banners of freedom and wealth.> They don?t think we have the right to protect ourselves against terrorists, they say that it can all be ?Resolved? I say the only way to resolve this conflict is to dig out all the hiding Iraqi leaders from their little holes and then bury them again.

<I cant help thinking that this country is slowly dying and the masses don?t give a damn, they are content to live their lives and stay out of other peoples business,>

The average teenager doesn?t know anything about politics and are content to stay that way. They don?t know what?s really going on over in Iraq all they know is what they are fed. They take all they hear and believe it because they only get one side of the story. And that story doesn?t include morals or God, it says ?America is greedy and wants more oil and is masking it by saying that Iraq is a threat to our everyday life.? On a side note, if you don?t believe me go online and check any survey on what teens know about politics. Half of teens can?t even tell you who our vice president is. That is shameful.

ZZ66, next time get some proof to back up your arguments. If your going to bring up what God thinks about things then you better be able to back it up with his own words, also known as the Bible.

thank you for illustrating my point for me.

you might want to investigate some facts yourself, sir.
i chose 3 to illustrate myself:

1. god did not 'write' the bible. he doesn't take up paper and pen, or at least i've not heard of him doing so. to whit:

"Little is known for certain about the authorship of most books of the Bible. Broadly speaking, there's often a "traditional" view and a "scholarly" view, but the arguments are entirely from internal evidence and beliefs. There is no external, independent evidence of authorship or dating of these books. If you have five scholars in a room, you'll get seven different theories. "
http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mbible2.html

2. Jesus does not advocate the old 'eye for an eye' theory.
"If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. " Luke 6:29
same could be said for your buildings.
and you call yourself a christian! you are a crusader, a fighter, a warmonger, a money-changer.

3. as for all the rest: Luk 6:37 "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven."

1. While God did not physically pick up a pen and write the bible it is said by God himself that he inspired it through his disciples. Jesus(who is the same person as God) said "these are my words" meaning the bible. And that whole five scholars theory is flawed, because those five all have different views and separate ideas of God or the world. The disciples who wrote Gods word were all on a common ground, they believed in God and gave up their lives to tell the masses about him. As a side note, if you believe that God is all knowing and is capable of everything than what makes you think that he would let something in the Bible that he did not condone.

2. God told Moses to go and destroy cities that were unholy, he even commanded Moses to kill the women and children because they themselves were also wicked. The children were rebellious, the women were impure and prostitutes, God even told him to kill the livestock. When I read this I was shocked, I could not understand why a loving God would kill innocent children. Well the point is they were not innocent, they were wicked and God knew when they grew up they would try and avenge their fathers by killing the Jews. God even said if you can find even one righteous person I will spare the city, and Moses could not. You say God does not advocate war?! We, America, are not even that harsh. We are trying with all our power to make sure that innocent civilians are not harmed, many of our own men have died trying to help Iraq’s citizens. And yes I do call my self a Christian, I am a fighter of evil(something people do not believe in anymore), I do not strive for war, but I know it is necessary. You believe that we should not have avenged out innocent civilians on 9-11? What would you do if I killed your family? would you press charges? Or would you just let it go? If I decided that I wanted to kill you, would you try and prevent it? or just wait for it to happen. You don’t want us to attack Iraq because nothing has happened to you, I guarantee if it was someone you loved in those buildings that died you would be fronting this war with everything inside you. Nothing has touched your little world, your inside your house, something alot of people do not have. You can protest laws you dissagree with, somthing most people can not do. And most of all, you are free. Free to live the way you want. That is a privilege every human being should have. If you were living under tyranny would you want what we have? Our president doesn’t spray chemical weapons on our towns, and watch as hundreds of women and children slowly and painfully die. Our government is here to protect us, and we, with the power and wealth that we have, owe it to the rest of the world, if willing, to free them.

*psst* Hey, cockfoster. According to the demented ravings of a bunch of obsolete desert tribes, a whole ass-load of things are sins. Things like wearing clothes made of more than one kind of fiber. Your Poly-Cotton blend is really a ticket to eternal HELL! Also, you can legally buy slaves from neighbouring nations. Sooo..going for the mexicans or going to pick up some canadians? If you haven't noticed, there's some pretty fucked up suggestions in that book. As for homosexuality, there's a good degree of controversy on the matter. Personally, I think Jesu fucked the apostles, loving all people equally. Hey, you know what the bible says you can have sex with? close family! Ask Moses, Noah and plenty others! Actually, that goes a long way in explaining you, blindasshat. Actually, for what it's worth, if you killed my family, I would toss you a nickel and bid you good day. Tell me, do you really think the gov't is here to protect you? Tell that to the good folks behind the eugenics boards, the Tuskegee experiments, the testing of psychoactive drugs on an unsuspecting public, my dead second cousin who was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam and the people who are continuing to support racist, sexist, homophobic and utterly backward and repressive stategies to keep your pathetic country placid and terrified. On the upside, it would be a one-stop trip. Now, take the insane ramblings of your masochistic death cult and kindly go crucify yourself. Hugs 'n' heretical kisses!

Blind project's right guys! Wow! What a clear and obviously wonderful spun around idea, unless saddam's gay then you're gay and we're'll doomed. Cheers Blind project! You win the horus8 "I quote the bible award to project my deepest darkest fears and misconceptions in order to divert the attention to everything i have not taking even a glimpse of time to understand, and from my own actions". Now ironically, you Bush, and Saddam, all have something clinical in common other then finger banging your own asses while you shower under the pretense that cleanliness in godliness. That would be faggotry to the 'enth degree of pecker and boob covering to the likes of which even Ashcrofts office has yet to witness. Button pushers and sissys the lot of you.

Just because I know right from wrong doesn’t mean I’m 12, you seem to think that religion is beneath you. That you are sufficient by yourself, you are your own God. Do you ever wonder if you’re wrong? Does your agnostic Christian hating soul ever long for more than this empty reality? IF you can tell me the point of life and why its worth living then Ill change my mind, but so far the trials and all the crap isn’t worth living for. You go to school to get useless knowledge and then get married to a pretty face, 9-5 until your 50 then kick back and enjoy emptiness. I don’t want that, and the only thing keeping my moving is the fact that one day ill be somewhere better. I can’t prove it, but it sounds a hell of alot better than the alternative.

hahahahahahahahaha. No, wait. hahahahahahaha. Are you really that shallow? Do you really follow dogma to the point where you become a brick wall? Because I call you a religious freak, which you are, just read what you write, you assume I am 1) not Christian and 2) agnostic. Do you really know what either of these mean. Where did you learn to sound like a fucking Mormon on a bike? You parents? Sunday school? Because some book? You sound like a confused boy. Your arguments do not even make sense because you have no real idea of what the world is like outside of your home, school, church. So you come up with these god knows what ideas of the world and the current events you see on CNN and how it all work in some wacky moral sense and then you come to a website that is for poetry and start rambling this campy crap you pass for a theology. Sorry. Sounds like a sham in your shallow words.

Blabitt, though I still think you're an annoying twerp, I can't help but cheer you on here. This isiot sounds like he doesn't even listen to CNN, just to Rumsfeld and co. And even then. This amuses me greatly.

And by the way, Blindreject or whateveryournameis, could you answer this? (Admittedly, I know what you'll say, but I'd like to see if you're silly enough to say it.) The Bible wasn't written down until four or five hundred years after Christ was executed (as, quite frankly, in some ways he desered). Surely even you know how quickly a word-of-mouth tale gets changed from the truth. What happens to the Bible then?

Next: offer me proof that Mahomet wasn't, as he said he was, the next prophet, after Abraham Moses, Daniel, Jesu and the like. And don't give me the Son of God argument. Megalomania in a prophet isn't proof of anything. (And don't get into long spiels about what Islam is about unless you've read the Koran.)

Lastly: even the Puritans who set up the damn States (in the sense of colonised the lands, not creating the country) -- fleeing from England in the name of religious freedom and whipping Quakers out from teir midst -- had to admit that the Bible ouldn't be taken literally, in the end. Learn from your ancestors, little boy. Even if your President can't. (But then, who believes the man actually learnt how to read before he became president?)
