I had a glimmer But it died I had a truth But I lied I had a dream But it was traded away I had a hope But it wouldn't stay I had a chance But now I don't I used to try But now I won't And that's the end I have no more to say I guess I just had no idea It would all come out this way

Great poem! Maybe think about changing "and that's the end" since it doesn't need to rhyme, just a thought.
