me, Deep-as-a-puddle and the elusive connection (Free verse) by lunar
I was talking to Deep-as-a-puddle the other day, Saying that I was speaking to someone about heaven and hell, "You only talk about that sort of thing with someone you have CONNECTION with" he observed. Ahh the sweet connection! How we wondered what it was and how it was found! We have searched and wondered and searched some more and found that the connection is a strange and wonderful thing: ~It is elusive and hard to find, Maybe under the rug or crouching tiger. ~It is often not where you find the connection but, who you find it with that matters. ~The connection is sometimes like magnetism, opposites attract-look where the sun does not shine! be vigilant. ~You may have the connection with someone but not realise it has been within your grasp all this time. ~You may think you have the connection but actually it has been behind you all this time, so close, yet so far away! ~The grass isn't always greener on the other side, you can spend your life searching for something that will bring you pain! Thats it for now. Thank you all. (also thanks to deep-as-puddle for the input!)

I think connection could be an interesting thing to explore, but... I had no connection with this poem beyond that.

So are you like getting married now. And is this a poem or a journal entry? Do you really need to have a connection with someone to talk about heaven and hell? There is a restaurant down the street from my house. Most likely 50 paces. I bet I could run down there now, sit at the bar, and after a drink just to establish my presence could bring up heaven or hell or god or sex or any other subject without having a connection with the person I brought it up to. It is called conversation with a stranger. Are you like 15 and tied to your hormones, because if so, then forgive me. Everything at that age is so dramatic. It is life without a soundtrack.

Do you have a crouching tiger in your living room? The nature of "the connection" is that you find it with the right person, right? Otherwise it wouldn't be there? Does *who* you find it with matter if it can only be found with the right person?
Where the sun does not shine implies that you find it in his crotch.
This isn't really a poem so much as a list of personal proverbs.

After reading this I begin to imagine you are decieving me. Maybe you are someone else, pulling my leg. "Were the sun does not shine" means up your ass were I come from.

maybe i am myself, but i am not trying to decieve anyone. my friend DAAP wrote that part but i have heard that where the sun does not shine is up ur ass but i completely forgot - i wonder if he [daap] knows that? i think it is more of an american saying anyway since the simpsons is the only place i have heard it said.

Since i am not from America your cack-wagon insult is lost on me im very sorry. isnt is time for you to go to bed anyway?
[n/a] -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. @ 131.111.213.23 > lunar | 26-Jan-03/7:51 AM | Reply
It's not an insult. It's a Cack-Wagon. In any case, 'cack' is a word completely unknown to Americans, who also have no idea how funny they sound when they say they're wearing 'khaki pants'.

I like the way you've managed to spell three words wrong in a five-word sentence.
What next D.A. you want to give me a spelling lesson?
