Walk in a dream (an ode to self help poems) (Pimple) by Bachus
I met sorrow
In a dream last night
As the morning dew
It hung among my concealed memories.
Like a child
I was too tired to fight
But as a man I listened to its story
And this is what it told me.
Do not be alarmed my son
Truth is a rule
You must never lock up
Your feelings of hate.
Can you see me in the corner?
Sitting upon this stool
Is this the path to my distant fate?
Or could it be the hidden chest of burning fury?
Hold my hand mother
I have fallen in the night
Listen to this tale my father
Or are you in a hurry?
Stop for a moment and turn toward the light
Listen to me child
I am no angel, nor am I a demon
I wish for you to know that a man needs a reason.
So be an individual and heed to your own
Because your mind is but
an unfinished painting
It can change like a season.
