Is it you (Free verse) by Katie
The candle flickers, A low glow. I see your face, Etched with in the shadows. Yours arms reach out, For a loving embrace, But no longer do I see your sweet face, Now, another man holds me tight, As I ponder through my thoughts, Where are you tonight? Are you holding another in your arms, as you once did mine? I picture him, being you, And us starting things all brand new.

Up the ladder: End of day poem
Down the ladder: the abandoned sea

Excellent until the last line. Keep the ending dark, it fits in with the rest of the poem that way. Other than that it's absolutely delightful (as I'm sure my good friend Mr. Pig would say) 9
