Footsteps (Free verse) by MacFrantic
In the forest of the sea I'll replicate the elegy Forlorn to bask in moon-stained tides Black's the color of your eyes In my sleep a cuckoo bird These whistling cavern winds Two trembling footsteps I will make My life floods from within What deviant disproves my place? We are but setting clay In the forest of the sea The beast shall surely play

Up the ladder: Broken
Down the ladder: the stone

Okay, I'll buy that as a decent poem.

The sound is poetry. Maybe that's all that matters.
