Dead Inside (Free verse) by drnick
My soul must be iron: Forged in fire but currently cold, crushing. The weight intense With structure long rusting. Bringin' me down, Like an anchor Through the ground. I make not a sound, And feel nothing.

Up the ladder: Integration

Flows well, and you control it nicely. With a title like this it could easily have gone into a quasi-emo self-pitying mire, but I like the way you've dealt with the content. I can't really think of much else to say that'll be any use, I'm a bit useless at the moment. Struggling to write, myself, right now.

No blog entries recently?

Well if you know anything about me, you should know that I HATE emo(emphasis on "HATE") and would never do something like that. Ya, you do need to write something...you're kind-of slacking and you know what they say about slackers: ...well, I don't know but I'm sure it's nothing good.

No blog, I have plenty of shit to say, just no time.

Glad to hear it. You should come to Cardiff, we'll go on an emo-purging spree. The place is covered in them.
I've got a few poems hovering around, incomplete and absolutely tormenting my soul because I don't know what to do with them. Now that I'm back studying again the inspiration will hopefully return. I know what you mean about having no time for blogs though. I used to write stories on my MySpace blog, but that hasn't happened for a while now. Perhaps I should start again.
How are the classes going?

Chummy guy talk is in violation of Poemranker Rule No. 789576895867

Your nagging is in violation of Men's Rule No. 1

and f.y.i. i'm not talking to any females anymore because all of you are life-sucking, abscent-minded, whimsical, love-cleavers...AND ITS ALWAYS ABOUT YOU ISNT IT?! YES, YOU'RE ALL QUITE PLEASED WITH YOURSEVES BUT THAT'S NOT ENOUGH, NO. YOU MUST PARASITE YOUR WAY THROUGH THE POPULUS CLAIMING ANY SPARK OF POTENTIAL YOU FIND IN ORDER TO FULFILL YOUR INSATIABLE THIRST FOR RUINING EVERYTHING!!!!

...eheh, got a little carried away there.

Yes, I fully understand your desire not to talk to females anymore. We are so emotional and unreasonable all the time! Why, if you should try a little kidding on a woman, she's never a good sport about it, but always takes it in some sensitive way you never intended.

haha, okay...you got me.

If we can't talk like old chums on poemeranker, where can we? He's in Michigan, I'm in Wales. And besides, it's true about the emos. It'd be more fun to replace them with emus.

Way too much homework, and I want to demonstrate to one physics professor the physics behind a particular two-body collision: my fist and his jaw. I need to break something...

Hahaha, ever get that longing to be put in a room full of sparkling wine glasses with a pair of sturdy goggles and a baseball bat? Ultra kudos for doing physics though. A friend of mine tried to teach me quantum physics; we ended up attempting to devise a whole new theory of gravity.

Punctuation and grammar detract from a good start. It's really all one sentence.

Ah, the familiar '7' vote and a comment on my p & g...one of these days I'll submit a poem that even you will like.

I like it, and I like grammar. Have at it.

Hmmm... very impressive writing... quite to the point and with adequate imagery. I like the title too.

really? thanks...I'm not sure I'm too impressed with it myself, but I'm glad you like it.

Why, yes. Believe in what you write and you'll find that your writing impresses you before it does others.
