Pity Her (Free verse) by Dovina
Self aggrandizement, she remembers it well, the notion of greatness beyond possible consummation, then realization, and finally, admission. Driven by irony that something so darling could be so disappointing, she pours another glass, points the pistol, and . . .

Not sure I should. Don't know why she's upset, exactly.

Well, it's like this. She gets herself all pumped up and proud like, a kind of PoemRank arogance, but in her real life, and well, she puffes herself up so much, it can't poissibly work out that way in the throws oif life, so she realizes her mistake, admits it, and then figures the whole thing is ironic and very sad.

Ha ha. Not EVEN in the least. Pity me, I spend 23 hours a day speaking the most stupid imaginable language. For example, this poem in street Arabic would go something like:

Thinking a lot, she remembers it a lot,
the notion of lot-itude
past the possibility you are together,
then you think,
and at the end, you say.

You move by funny thought that
something so nice
will disappoint you a lot,
she pours one more glass,
moves the gun,
and . . .

Least of the lesser, lowest in the lowerarchy, crudest of the crude.

Don Quixote, The Thinker, Jacob and now her.
It's nice to see depression not of the teenage variety.

Jacob couldn't find his pistol. It's not nice to see depression in a middle-aged person, but I thik I see what you mean.

If this is you, then back off from poetry for a while. If not, then crank out another one.

I've already cranked, and another one came out. I appreciate your concern.
