This Just In... (Free verse) by drnick
What's in the news today? The best stories of our days, Blood death and voilent years, Dollar bills can dry your tears, It's a dark world, or is it? Can reality be so explicit? Who would know behind these screens, Expierience the world in electric dreams, Feel yourself just waste away, A story I heard on the news today.

Up the ladder: terraza pizza
Down the ladder: Release

Expierience would say to use spell checker before posting...(just a hint!) Needs a comma after blood. A period ofter tears. That said...I just don't see the point of this one.
"It's a dark world,
or is it?
Can reality be so explicit?" <could be cut out, without any ill effects.

Ya, I noticed the lack of a comma after I posted it. I was trying to point out how the news delivers us only what they want us to see, which is usually nothing to be happy about. To me, it seems as though they are trying to make the world seem worse than it really is. Maybe you've never seen the news.

I have seen the news...thanks...and I would suggest BBC and news from country other than the USA. You would think with free speech and free press we could actually get a clear picture of what is going on in the world. Politics has its hands in everything. Distractions sent over the airwaves, to keep us from troubling ourselves with the rest of the world. *(Rant, rant)Okay, that said...I bet you could do a better job of saying what you are trying to say in your poem.

Yeah, like if you'd been watching Al Jazeera during the war, you would know that during the invasion of Baghdad Iraqi soldiers electrified the floor of Saddam Hussein Airport, killing over three thousand American soldiers at a blow. There were pictures. True story.

Actually I do not put a whole lot of faith in Al Jazeera as an accurate media source. Just because there are picture does not make it reality, ask any graphics artist. I did a search of the keywords in your statement, and could find nothing. Do you have a credible link? That said...it is all sad, and nasty business.
