Re: Faith by Pervy Elf 6-Jan-04/8:32 PM
Okay, first off, I'm not a guy. I'm most definately a girl...but that's not the point. I just want to clear some things up about this poem since everybody seems to be so up in arms about the damn thing. Let's make this clear, this is *just* a poem. What people may interpret from the contents is thier right, but do not berate them for it. Yes, I understand that at first glance I seem to be 'bashing' God. I never did that. The lines "Your God is a lie/Your God is a fake" are refering to that persons ideal of thier God. Contents of this poem are for those who feel that they must push thier beliefs onto others in an attempt to make thier logic appear concrete. It is quite illogical for an all-powerful being to be able to make our lives better just because we believe in him. From a logical standpoint, it doesn't make sense. Note, nowhere have I discredited God's existence or blatently ridiculed anybody for thier beliefs.
Secondly, I never stated that I was molested as a child. If you happened to read my poem and discern that fact, then I am grateful that you may have been able to somehow relate to my poem. I appologize if I have misslead anyone.
I am very saddened that this forum was not used as a place for *constructive* criticism for my poetry, but a place where others are subjected to malice for thier beliefs.

Simply love it. Sex and violence in the media. Who can go wrong?

Hmmmm... Is that a good 'hmmmm', or a bad 'hmmmmm'?
Re: a comment on Little Girl by Pervy Elf 24-Sep-03/11:20 PM
Well, if you must know...first comes first. I have been known to be cute from time to time. Some even dare to call me beautiful.
BUT! Back to Him. Well, while the central figure in the poem is myself, the fact that the H is capitalized is supposed to give more impact and meaning to the guy. It's hard for me to explain. When read, one is supposed to get a sense of helplessness (is that even a word?) on the girls' behalf. She's trying to get the guy to notice and take stock of what he has done. Basically, take responsibility of his actions. I don't know, maybe that helps...?

I don't think that I could post here if I held nothing back. It might, okay, it will get ugly. It's amazing how many expletives can be strung into one sentance. And directed at only one person, too. Hmm...^_~

No, not God. It's about a boy...geez, aren't all things? I was extremely hurt by this guy, and we were having many problems at the time. I wasn't exactly talking to him, and this was my way to kind of tell him something was wrong. So, yeah, "Him" is the guy.

Expression? How so?

I see what you mean about the spelling...I never did very well in that area. But, what do you mean about 'Damn'? That's makes me kind of nervous...

Um, do you mean the cap's at the beginning of each line, or everything else? i.e.- Him, Little. I'm confused as to what you mean by you don't follow...
