My Chocolate F-9 (Free verse) by abecedarian
Spruce billets the top
Maple the back, sides, and neck
Thickness sanded the sides and sawn straight
Bended the wood not too wet to break
Joined the plates and carved for days
And finally now it rings D sharp
Just as it should
Everything left is a month
between me and my chocolate F-9
Until finally I can hear it sing
The urge to rush is unbearable
a disaster in waiting
So patience and do this right
Just as I should
