2838 Denise Dr. Troy, Mi. (Free verse) by Bachus
Goulash & knitted blankets A basement that went on forever Lilac bush big as a shed & in full bloom God, the smells. My Uncle Bruce's Siberian Husky 'Jenna' lived all year out back. The most beautiful dog ever. Loneliest chrystal blue eyes I've ever seen. The squirrels would piss her off staying just out of reach, but then, with no warning, my uncle would go out there with a 22 rifle and a hot dog still hangin out of his mouth and, CRACK! CRACK! Silence smoke wisp ... thud slight bounce & twitch Then the dog would be on it As he slid shut the screen door.
