9/2/2003 (Free verse) by cpill
There is a darkness in destiny People emerge and submerge Cheek kissing, pushing for space Peering into them like crystal caves, underwater at night. I wonder if they can hear me, if they hear. Move the candle across the room and the shadows scamper, appear and disappear: a new place brings a spark of fear What's the ghost lurking here, What's the ghost lurking here. Decidedly it is quaint to be quaint and can the window be opened for air? Open a window to breath. Fate moves things on, like a policeman, Nothing to see here, Nothing to see here.
