spending time on the beach as the world comes sneezing to an end (Thursday afternoon) (Free verse) by balthazar
Frail in the massive heat the air bends under its own weight curling up swallowed unrecognizable unbreathable finally and the sea recedes revealing the tops of the maples and then surges, bursting as the flames begin to rise in the distance.

Up the ladder: Bottom on the heath
Down the ladder: Northern Ireland
