This was supposed to be a ghazal, but I won't risk naming it as such- because honestly? I can't figure out what the definite rules are since every other asshole with a pen also has an opinion. So I've decided to write it in this way- calling it free verse. ________________________________________________________________________ Used to love my wily white cat; Killed her with a shoe after she gave birth. Its kitten happily sleeps in the litter box; Being half negro wasn't bad enough. Snow melted in my mini globe; beautiful before bursting into smoke. The kitten wants revenge for living in his poop. I know its plotting murder when he defecates. The walls have some how learned to speak. Hitler was reincarnated- then barked in german. Nigger cat scratched at his tormentor. I painted over the marks in red. They found me two days ago quite dead; slowly poisoned by scattered cat shit.
