Darkest Room (Free verse) by ThoughtfulSoul
Darkest room in the house, No light or people can be seen No noise or voices can be heard and if not for my heartbeat's echo I'm not sure I would exist Voices in my head talk as though they are my friends, Reality is suppressed as my dreams slowly creep to the surface As I live in this dreamworld I occassionally wake up to see what I left behind in the first place Everyone wants to know why I'm not happy But nobody wants to give me a reason why I should be Tears slowly run down my face because I finally realize that which makes me happy doesn't really exist

Up the ladder: The Beginning
Down the ladder: Tea and Battenburg
