Where did you go? (Free verse) by Butterfly1120
Sometimes I sit and wonder, Why now did you have to go? Was it something I did to push you away? I cry myself to sleep hoping for your return, and wake up praying to see your face in front of me. I look around and still you are nowhere to be found. They tell me it was time for you to go, that eventually I will understand it all. They say a part of you will always be with me. Ya' know..I still play the games we used to play, but for some reason they are not as fun anymore. This morning I looked for you again, but all I saw was my new reflection in the mirror. Written on my 18th birthday about myself.

Up the ladder: One Sided Love
Down the ladder: Barflies and Bombshells

This is a brave poem about leaving childhood behind. thank you for posting it! It brought back such fond memories for me. Its funny how we change isn't it? You don't have to grow up completely though. Those games we used to play can be fun sometimes! Just get lost in the momnet!
