I'm Aboard (Free verse) by Ali_cat018
I don't hear the whistle, but I know I'm on the train of life. I try to keep it on the track, but I know I'm not the conductor. I will it to stay the course, through times of happiness and strife. Trains can't turn around and revisit a station it has already passed. Only continue on a plotted plan and hope it did what it was supposed to. If life's train were to have turned around for me, it would have certainly crashed. I know I'm on the path, this thing called life will take me. I can only do the best at every moment or station that I know I can do, Because I know in the end, this wonderful confusing train will let me off, right where I'm supposed to be.

I like the train metaphor, I would suggest working some more train related words in there and maybe working with the flow a little

I agree with Tad. What is it called when you use one thing to discribe another? Like a poem that speaks of hot rods, but it's really refering to something sexual?
