The Geek (Free verse) by mrpresident
There he was, infront of his computer, The curtains shut, it was mid july and the sun was thrashing onto a street below, Children were playing, adults were laughing, But there he was, infront of his computer, He didn't want to make a scene, he just wanted to stay here, Where nothing could hurt him, he had his computer games for company, He needed nothing more, He had been invited to a party tonight, but he couldn't go, what if someone spoke to him, He couldn't make an arse of himself, being here was safe. He liked being here, infront of his computer He liked making Lara jump, roll and grab, This was all his life needed, He would do this all everyday and every week, He'd ignore the people who call him - The Geek

Up the ladder: Curiously here
Down the ladder: The circle of life
