The trees were gnarled
Where they stood, outside my window?
They were eloquent â¦
Were your civilized trees
Standing in neat rows
Always so hemmed in?

um, neeter, paki dinged me for opening with a question once. this shows me why. That is the only change. Very good. Less is more always works for me.
I like the idea of gnarled trees this is an interesting poem...I think I would like it better if there was more to it more interesting verse's like this one
