Winter's Cabin (Free verse) by powerline
A light so firm with shallow hue, waves in the wind from yellow to blue With tastes of clove and textures rich, it spreads by billows through every niche Now wax so slow that bleeds its tone, frees light in time inside my home But the grain of wood touched by light, tightens its guard and cracks in fright

Up the ladder: Ash
Down the ladder: Greybie Blue

I believe Powerline has just told a secret.

"I'd as soon play tennis without a net than attempt a poem without structure." Write for yourself and you'll undoubtably include others as well--those who are slanted towards a more antiquarian style. Brush up the meter too, you're almost there.

Go back to the cabin and get more material. This could be stretched nicely.

Not sure this should be stretched.
Very original and interesting
content. I very much enjoy poems
that turn the mundane into the
meaningful. Good job!
