Winter's Cabin (Free verse) by powerline
A light so firm
with shallow hue,
waves in the wind
from yellow to blue
With tastes of clove
and textures rich,
it spreads by billows
through every niche
Now wax so slow
that bleeds its tone,
frees light in time
inside my home
But the grain of wood
touched by light,
tightens its guard
and cracks in fright
