she was a garden of roses (Free verse) by crin
i had a passion built upon lies and images wrapped in plastic she had quite a hold on me a little surprise inside a secret behind those closed lips she manifested like beauty everytime but kept herself in shrouds she was a garden of roses and her thorns were covered with truth serums and love potions drawing me nearer yet pushing me away with a hundred arms of steel resolve and gentle tears i was a lost cause fallen to deception and sleeping peacefully in blankets of mist she was an angel tied up in bonds of expectations and promises swaying gently from the lights casting swadows all over me there's no melody today but there is melancholy spreading all over me and i begged keep your secrets behind your back and give me a kiss she was dead wrapped in plastic and i deep mystique there's no melody today but there is melancholy spreading all over me like the thickest honey

Down the ladder: At Last in the Garden

My pre conceptions of this (pre-read) was it would be clice ridden, i was wrong its a wicked piece of poetry, salacious, dramatic and coated verses like candle wax high number? of course =9=

"steel resolve" 'thorny resolve' might work better...some how the 'steel' image does not fit, and what would a rose poem be without thorns...que no?
