To Mother (Lyric) by lynnstratton
Death took my precious mother to a place I cannot see,
Then softly, on a gently breeze, her spirit rose to Thee.
As I try to picture Heaven and imagine she is there,
I more often think of you, Lord, and feel she's everywhere.
I see her 'midst the flowers that she loved so much on Earth
Or swaying with an angel's choir, singing sweetly every verse.
I see her gather loved ones and hold them to her breast...
those who went before her....those who wait for all the rest.
I remember all the children that she cradled in her arms;
That was her mother's heart, Lord, to protect them from all harm.
Death took my precious mother to a place I cannot see,
But she left a mother's gentle love, her legacy to me.
