Shadow (Lyric) by javelinne
A raging fire dies away The icy rain wipes my tears away Then my frozen feet gave way Weak and jaded, so here I stay Candles only flicker in the wind And so are the feathers on a wing Flowers only sway in a gust Their petals shimmer and blush And I am but a shadow A forlorn silhouette, not a single glow Disappears in the dark Until another light sparks

Up the ladder: forever looking (in)
Down the ladder: Tanka
