morning (Free verse) by kiki
Everyday I wake to the basel movements of somebody's brother above my face. A single bone locked in the awkward circles of morning haze. Then, crawling out from under you, I recollect myself.

Up the ladder: Words
Down the ladder: Forbidden fruit

What is your question. Look basel up in the dictionary.

'Basel: German name for Basle. Basle: a commercial and industrial city on the Rhine in NW Switzerland; pop. 171,000 (1991). French name Bale, German name Basel.' I fail to see how a city can move in someone's brother. Unless you're misspelling 'basil', which makes just as much sense. Or do you mean bowel?

Maybe you have a limited dictionary. Basel (correct spelling) is another word for animal (adj), instinctual.

'Basal' Well, in my dictionary, basal means 'forming or belonging to a bottom layer or base.' What's that got to do with animal instincts? What strange and bizarre dictionnaries are you characters using? (New Oxford 1998 here)
