Corpse's Crescendo (Free verse) by phbiscuit
The sun leapt off the rooftops And I chanced to see you Lying there, Waiting for something. I thought it strange That the color of your skin Should match that of the Hard-boiled egg I Asked you to eat. You wanted to know If friends were coming To say goodbye Before we left For the coast? I do not think so. Please, eat your breakfast, It will get cold. I'll leave you alone, I suppose that is what you wanted, I'll let you figure out how to breathe.

Up the ladder: remember me
Down the ladder: Come Night time
