perhaps "faster" instead of "fast".
This lacks subtlety -- perhaps the hardness was intended to play off the haiku form, but it doesn't quite work for me.
any suggestions?

yeah, I like the way you've thwarted the reader's expectations by taking a traditionally subtle and suggestive form and producing a blunt, harsh image.
