One Night (Free verse) by agent008
They were everywhere my eyes could see, Glorious fields of endless pastures. Every color seen or unseen With rainbow meadows hidden by darkness. Beautiful how they swayed together With the breath of their Mother Nature. But more beautiful was what caught my eye. This lonely flower with sweet intentions. Glistened gestures lit up by starlight. Still and calm while the others swayed. Her full red petals longing for my touch. Uncontrollably drawn to the beauty, I walk to the flower and humbly kneel. Thorns massaging my hands I lift her up. Loving each second I'm in her presence She takes me home, my beauty, my Rose.

pretty. it could use a bit more rhythm or less words per line for me, and it's a bit prosaic, but not horrible. :)
