But yet the only one that can make me cry
You overwhelmed me with your love
Yet we still had to say good-bye.
I ask myself why does this have to be
Because the reason were apart isn't because of you or me.
The problem is, it's not me feeling this way
It's my parents history,
Their driving us away
I ask the Lord above,
Why do you have to be the one I love
But then I realized,
You're the only man with those eyes
And it shouldn't matter what color of skin,
And that we will be together in the end!

The sentiment of the last 3 couplets is so beautiful, but this needs reconstructive surgery. The whole "you're the only one" line needs to be dropped. It's been used to death. Most of this is pretty bad. It's a vocal desert.
