scaling the tower cold-blooded and crammed in a silver bullet shot through the night sky we stopped short of the door intertwining with passion slowly sliding in molting our outer layers the bird lay clutched with claws she screams the serpent's name in passionate praise of a naked god for a time, feathers fly bodies roaring like thunder that woke me to morning as silence stood bare the serpent sank back to the depths below

I like it. NOt sure about last two lines. I struggle with them too.
