The bakers wife (Free verse) by Caducus
Raked across his back God's representative and steel sent conquistadors of blood to a floor of spent confessions. Upon the pyre - a heretic, Seville chanted his name his scream had no accent a name lay charred to a post. As he fell skyward the inquistion walked downward where a bakers wife spat in their faces unyielding, they dragged her to a post where an orange gown dressed her for her baker, not once did she scream.

A draft at the mo, any ideas?

Kind of inspired by gods wifes poem bread and oranges plus a brutal scene from the tudors.

I have always been impressed by your metaphors and there are some good ones in this piece.
