desire is the constant (Free verse) by silvertongueddevil desire is the constant
sense of loss
for what we have
never had
the blinded grow
accustomed to the darkness
while we are sad
that there is a face
we have not brushed
with our mouth
we know
that there are words
that if said
by one mouth
they would be true
and it is the nights beside them
that will be our rescue
