Come Back to Me (Free verse) by jlanza
I don't know how to tell you The way that I'm feeling My heart is broken And it is just not healing Because every thought I have Is about the way you smile But you're so far away Three hundred lonely miles I've fallen in love Though I tried to resist But you touched my heart The moment we kissed You whispered in my ear The soft words you spoke You held me as I slept You kissed me as I woke You touched me so gently And held me so tight I was floating on air My heart was so light Then you had to leave me And you kissed me good-bye My heart felt so empty And I tried not to cry And now you are gone My love can't you see What I'm trying to say Is come back to me

Up the ladder: melancholy:
Down the ladder: crispy
