Thank You Mom (Free verse) by savannah
Thank you for all times I turned to you, And you were always there for me. Thank you for holding me, And telling me that tomorrow would be better. Thank you for helping me get through those rough days. Thank you for picking me up when I was down. Thank you for caring whenever I scored a goal in soccer. Thank you for caring for when I got hurt. Thank you for caring about where I was or am at. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for understanding me. For though we are two different people, But our characters still blend. Thank you for all that you did and do. Thank you for never letting me down, And allowing me to believe in you. Thank you for all the values that you have taught me. Thank you for the care that you gave me. Thank you for all the things you might have thought were little, but meant the world to me. Thank you for tucking me into bed every night. Thank you for always putting me first. But most of all, thank you for all you do, And for all you have done. I thank you with everything in me. I want you to know that as my mother but also my best friend that I appreciate you and always will. I love you with a ???Special Love??? That deepens every year. I LOVE YOU MOM!!!

Thanks, but no thanks.
Borderline nauseating.1. (Hey I'm sure your "mom" will give it 10.)

I think it would take a mother to love this. Which is what it was meant for. I'm sure she did.

However, there's little of artistic merit in it. It's rather painful to read for those not involved with it.

Sentimental slop. 0. I can't award anything for this I'm afraid. Far too cheesy, and to start so many lines 'Thank you...' indicates that you are utterly devoid of inspiration. I'm sure that your mum would love this tribute, but frankly, I hate it. Horrible stuff. Be ashamed, please?

Yep, I think this is private rather than public poetry. Your Mum will love it. Just a little grammatical point - as you've put 'For though' in one line, you don't need the 'but' in the following line.
