Oblivion (Free verse) by Sway
Oblivion A deep lamenting purple sprawls across the skies Filling the heart, the soul, the mind with melancholy sighs Cherubs soar like little dreams through everlasting love Their wings flutter like whispers soft, to carry them above The stars appear as holes, on the darkened curtain of night Through the holes in the curtain, glimmer bits of Heavens white light Pinkish hues define eternity, dizzying brightness tickles the land My dreams are made of angelic love, Come along and take my hand.

Up the ladder: Why I took my ears off
Down the ladder: a scene in american ghetto

Not bad, unoriginal though. You've evidently got the imagination to better this.
Hint of the day: rhyming 'love' with 'above' (or 'dove') wil turn a lot of people off straight away.
