Hammered Nail (Free verse) by drjhoss
Pound, Pound! the nail is driven, once it goes in it is unmovable, It's life is chosen for it, The nail has no choice, It does not say which wood it prefers, Some nails are used earlier than others, Some nails are used later, and once in, the nail's job is done, Pound, Pound! the nail is driven into the coffin.

Up the ladder: The Tourist
Down the ladder: Angel

an interesting twist at the end, but I'm afraid this reads more like notes jotted down than a poem... (and It's == it is, its == possessive)

I think your ear infection is infecting our ears via the medium of carpentry poems. A haughty fellowe indeede! Keep it up!
