My Reason (Free verse) by PoeticXTC
I left you. I left him standing there Watching me Leave. I left him. I left you Wondering why. Why I left you standing in owe. Figure It Out! It's all a game A game I'm through Playing. I've grown up and through praying That you'd come to realize the distance is Killing me, Softly killing me, quietly killing my love for you. The passing time is colding my heart And my will to hold on. The thousand miles between us Has blinded you, And convinced me to Move on. This is my reason Why I left you. I left him Watching me leave.

this seems to be a very angry piece atlest that is the way i read it but i cant seem to find reasons within the anger that justify it?

THAT'S BECAUSE WHEN YOU USE ALL THESE CAPITAL LETTERS IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE YELLING!!!!

The capital letters are me yelling. Yelling at myself, convincing myself that leaving was the right thing to do. I'm not talking to the reader. I'm conflicting within myself.

An emotional piece of writing: "For sale: Baby shoes, never used." - Hemmingway

Creating or representing emotion in writing usually has very little to do with yelling and emphasis. Drop the caps. Add some emotion.

A bit of an odd piece. Seems like love has been a disappointment, and that you are either angry at yourself or with him. Maybe it could have been more clearer.
